LINDOS BY BUS

Really enjoyed this day trip to Lindos .Comfortable bus picked us up at our hotel on time. Arrived from Faliraki in a little less than an hour. I very much preferred this bus trip over the public bus - seats were comfortable and the air conditioning was definitely necessary.
Go early, because the coaches arrive and stack up by 10:30 and there's only one road in, which is steep and narrow. The road comes to an end in a square which branches off in a labyrinth of closely placed white buildings selling the stuff tourists like to buy and the Greeks sell, namely, jewellery, clothes, hats, and ceramics.
Bizarrely, the donkeys which toil up a steep side street, cobbled and decorated with pebble mosaics, are kept in an outside area of a bank . The donkeys are used to carry tourists up to the Acropolis, which overlooks Lindos. Apart from the stunning views, as one walks up and away from Lindos there are the restaurants-many of them. Since space is limited, the owners have built up. So restaurants are tiered with wonderful views of the village and of the Aegean and at night, the whole skyline is lit up including the centuries old Acropolis.

I was very impressed with how smooth this booking went only booking on the Saturday for a trip on the Tuesday following. I dropped them an email as our hotel in Faliraki wasn't listed and they quickly emailed back confirming pick up time. So booking was very smooth as I was anxious it was online.
The trip itself we were first pick up so it did take some time to get to the hour between faliraki and lindos but they did drop us off first on way back so evened out.
The Bus drop off you at the top but there's a shuttle bus up and down to the village a quick minute drive or 5 minute walk. The shuttle is only 50cents though.
Lindos itself is beautiful very worth a visit. We walked up and down to the acropolis … without the donkey 'taxis' 🙁
The acropolis itself is 12euro each to get in but well worth it the views are crazy too.
Be careful on the beach sunbeds are chargeable we were getting charged 10 euro for 2 beds we said oh no thank you as we literally went for a dip lol. But anyway well worth a trip and the bus driver was extremely knowledged and a careful driver. Highly recommend the tour .

Wir haben den Express Busservice nach Lindos gebucht und waren SEHR zufrieden. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und der Service ist sehr gut. Wir wurden pünktlich vor unserem Hotel vom sehr freundlichen Fahrer (Yanis) im Kleinbus abgeholt und waren knapp eine Stunde später in Lindos, wo wir vier Stunden Zeit hatten uns die Burgruine anzusehen, einen Bummel durch die gemütlichen Gassen von Lindos zu machen und in Ruhe essen zu gehen. Das ist eine super Alternative zum Linienbus (zu lange Fahrtzeiten), zur überall angepriesenen Bootsfahrt mit Schwimmpause (aber relativ kurzem Aufenthalt in Lindos) und der teuren Taxifahrt. Wir haben die Fahrt sehr genossen und es war sehr schön anschließend noch Zeit für einen Sprung ins Meer und Ruhe am Strand zu haben.
